Model UN Camp is $2,000. WIRC is $20.

Frankly, there aren't enough hours in the day to teach all the intricacies of the Model UN. As a result, students often look toward over-priced outside supplemental camps or courses to learn more. WIRC's purpose is to remedy the divide between students who attend and don't attend a model United Nations summer camp. At the Washington International Relations Conference, we provide an intensive learning experience for delegates of all ages and skill levels through a variety of workshops and simulations. It's why we believe that WIRC is a investment worth taking for individual students and Model UN teams alike.

Over 13 different workshops for Novice, Veteran, Crisis, and GA delegates alike.

WIRC tailors it's committees for delegates of all skill levels and experience. Whether a student is a novice at his or her first conference or Head Delegate of their team, we have tailored workshop tracks divided into experience and skill set. WIRC 2018 comes in 5 exciting tracks, from Novice General Assembly to Veteran Leadership, meant to enable delegates to thrive for the upcoming year.

Afternoon Simulations for both Crisis and GA Delegates

After spending the morning session in workshops, students will have the opportunity to put the skills they learned to the test in a 3-hour simulation. This year at WIRC, we will have simulations for both Crisis and GA delegates to ensure that all interests and needs are met. The learning process doesn't stop at the conclusion of the workshop sessions-- simulation leaders are there to teach throughout the course of the simulations. Through formal instruction and an interactive experience, WIRC aims to make sure that delegates are fully grasping new concepts they've learned.

An Award Winning Staff.
Literally.

The American University inter-collegiate Model United Nations team is proud to be ranked 7th in North America.  It’s no wonder why our staff of 80 has competed at over 1,000 conferences and won more than 400 individual awards during their time on the circuit.
